Stardust and moonglow

Disclaimer: i'm usually not inclined to say such bimbotic, sweet little things but the random events of today does put me in a lighthearted mood.

While the day progressed from a normal wake up sleepy drag myself (or my dad does the shipping of me to work) stone for a while before getting down to my overdued to-do list clearing some of the items on the list stone, take a breather be nice to the passing tea lady to get coffee done my way for my noon drink.
Suddenly out of the blue, i was thinking ahead and a random / out-of-the-blue / magical / tadah-worthy moment of inspiration came to me. I did some checking online, checked out the feasibility, did some basic ground work, forwarded the information to the relevant people and BADAHBOOM! it seems like magic might happen out of all. And the best thing is... as of now... nothing seems to stand in my way!! woohooo, its as random as stardust landing on my short, lowly head and im suddenly...

shhhinng!! its better than if i had planned it from the start!

So if i do get bored & frustrated at work again, i think its these moments, this pull-you-out-of-the-grind, random, impulsive, spur-of-the-moment energy that would do the trick. Not doing it for the sake of doing it but because im young, energetic and alive!! wahooo.
**i realised i sound like a young, healthy, active person but this is really not about exercising, hah.

Like a good presentation with a conclusion and overall recommendations to others, this is what i think:

p.s. please ask if you don't have any clue what im talking about in this entire post and you're interested to know :)

i've grown older!

well finally got the promotion that seemed so elusive for so long. kaaachiinng! a little richer with the bonus to add on, life's looking up for Quarter 1 of 2010 already! :)

so at least 1 out of 5 of my new year resolutions are done! that leaves 2 (running), 3 (new language) 4 (religion) 5 (golf) left to work on. Damn i had to refer to my old post to refresh what they were. maybe i am growing old. what to do what to do!

on a random note, my colleague at work today randomly suggested that i should listen to beyonce's 'if i were a boy' [no prizes for guessing what she was implying of me] and interestingly i was just thinking about the exact same song yesterday.. so it got me thinking... would I do anything differently if i were a boy?
1. for sure, i already 'drink beer with the guys' (1st conclusion from the song) except maybe i drink more than the boys already

2. i would love to go bald, at least once (although i might understand guys' aversion to it after army).
3. i think i would be handsome. its so much easier to dress as a guy, just buy a nice polo shirt, shirts, berms, pants and you're done! no heels, skirts, pants, tops, dresses, makeup, accessories to worry about!

4. i would be a good boyfriend / husband. i don't believe in cheating!

5. i'll have to cut down on the bitchy / sarcastic / out-of-point comments that i make most of the time. darn.

6. i always wished to have washboard abs (girl / guy lines pretty blurred on this). but never had the willpower to accomplish this. imagine stepping into a club with someone who had this....

it doesn't even matter what else you (do not) wear! but apart from the abs, i think overly muscular guys are pretty scary, they always seem to be potentially abuse. or even if they have a hearty laugh and pat you on your back, i think a skinny girl will cough out her lungs.

ok this post is going nowhere but it seems like apart from some superficial things, there really isn't anything i would do that i can't already do now huh. i think going in circles and talking pointlessly most be one of the traits of going old. darn.

my colleague who sparked this thought suggested that she would have better aiming than her brothers in the toilet, haha! important lessons to teach your husbands / future sons!
