my valentine

Yuri gave the ladies a heart-shaped box filled with sweets. Cos it was close to new year, the office was empty cos everyone went home for the new year.

Here's us fooling around after work in the office.

Hmm, should i or should i not? Let's both play hard to get. Thats daphne at the back, an NTU intern an grundfos too! She's with finance while yuri and i are in marketing.

After work, charlene and i met Aaron for dinner and drinks at this cool place called TMSK, its chinese name sounds lame but its made up of liu li, like the liu li gong fang in taka? So its beautiful lit and all.

Ultra glam and divaish room filled with liu li. We just went in and took pictures and ran out without spending anything in there. Haha, typical singaporean!

Look how beautiful the toilet sink is. we were in the toilet for ages.

great food, great company, all in all a good night :)

climb every mountain

Overdued post on my first exercise in ages. I climbed huangshan the week before the new year and i realised how unfit i was. Enough said, pictures first!

We met at 9 plus to take a bus all the way to Zhejiang, reached there bright and early like 6 plus 7. all decked out ready to go!

One amazing sight was these carriers who could carry anything up the mountain, u see the small man in the background? He's carrying a chair and table up there! We saw vegetables, tables and all, even pee and crap back down!

Alright, im a wuss, i had to take a cable car halfway cos charlene had chest pain so we took the 8 min cable car ride instead of the 4 hour climb. Our relaxing time up, enjoying the scenery that looks like a waterpainting eh?

Even after the cableride, we had 92638723649 steps to climb. Stairway to heaven

Trying to make it look like a piece of cake. I'm the king of the world!!! Stepping on a mountain.. Looks good in pictures but it SERIOUSLY didn't feel good. We got bored climbing steps.

me and haojie, my fellow housemate!

So next morning, we woke up bright and cheery to watch the sunrise BUT we woke up too late. Haha, so ended up walking around to other places instead but the view did sorta make up for it.

my senior Shengye who's also in Grundfos who was also our army officer / tour guide for our huangshan trip. it wasn't easy managing 28 people climbing the mountain at the same time man.

last but not least, the famous 800 year old tree that is symbolic of huangshan. housemates shane and haojie beside me.

a day in my shoes...

monotony of corporate life! so daily routine is waking up at 745 / 8, out of the house by 810 (yes i'm still late). on the way to the train station..

winter trees beyond the wall.

out of the jam-packed station, into ren ming guang chang (people's square)

just a taste of shanghai's many skyscappers. did you know that they have more skyscappers than manhatten??

one of the coolest buildings that i've seen so far. looks like a thing out of a science fiction movie huh? reminds me of the LOTR mordoor (spelling!) its actually JW Marriot Hotel. u should see it with the sunset as its background..

a quaint old church just plopped beside my office. funny how they managed to put old and new side by side.

and here we are! a raffles city here in CHINA. yes, its by capitaland so i have breadtalk and mei chen xiang (bak kwa) in my building..

off to 51st floor!

so that's what my morning's routine is like. til the night post :)
