work part II + TGIF

me! still in my black and white theme.. and.. the boredom at work continues! haha, I fell asleep (as usual i know) at my desk after finishing an ice mocha. here are the pictures to prove how free we were. we even left at 3pm on thur!

oh my office is at the 51st floor of Raffles City, so we have a great view. the pantry's pretty nice although i normally just grab coffee and leave. its been pretty gloomy these few days so i couldn't give the view justice.

the guy with the big hair is yuri, a polish intern who was equally bored with me.

SO!! it was finally weekend!!

on our way out from home.

our italian meal, which was unbelievably cheap. escargots (upper right) was 15rmb, 3 freaking sgd. spaghetti was 9rmb, less than 2 sgd. crazy right! we even had tiramisu and chocolate mousse.
on the way home in the train. wrapped like like a bao eh? these are the other s'pore girls, not living in my house though. left wenjie and sharon.

the sardine can

supposed to reach work at 830 but i got here at 9 today. ok, i didn't care and went back to sleep BUT i was even later becaused i was pushed to the next stop! it was DAMN irritating. i made my way to the door, some stupid guys don even move when you're obviously moving to the door. stand there like reading newspapers is damn important. when i got to the door, i thought obviously you'll be able to get out right?

when the door opened, the 3 people infront of me managed to squeeze out. when i looked up, i saw a swarm (and i mean SWARM) of people rushing towards me. they didn't care if you're going out. the girl could look me in the face and push me back inwards. it was so packed you couldn't really breathe. girls, remember the disgusting countdown we went at suntec? it was like that! i even heard them telling some other people, 'next stop then get down la' in chinese. i had to take one stop, and take it back. wah, it felt like i've been through some storm man, CULTURAL SHOCK to the power of infinity.

and by the way, this is probably an everyday event here. im just lucky i experienced it after 4 days i guess. when i get back to s'pore, shenton way crowd is going to peanuts man. well im safe in the office now, wasting another day away. everyone in my noc group hates me cos im getting paid one of the highest and probably doing the least work . ahah, i think its me, wherever i go the company seems to be not doing alot of work.

end of freedom

well work started on monday at Grundfos and to commemorate my lost of freedom and the start of this blog, im going to wear black and white the entire week without repeating my clothes! so here's the evidence: monday (left)

so how was work?? it was so boring im amazed i stayed awake the first day! the list of things i managed to complete at work:

- write a poem

- find out where to go for chinese new year

- had coffee with the polish intern

- learn from him shanghai's clubbing hotspots, chitchat for about an hour

- visit local clubbing and hip places website

- find a useable web-based msn because my stupid company blocks skype and msn

- chitchat with 5 friends at a go cos everyone's bored at work

good eh? to prove how bored i was, i managed to even take pictures of myself acting busy!

i look so serious right! to prove how i can angle the camera at myself due to free time. haah what's even better, my boss is in s'pore from today to next tues! more time to kill.. i didn't know it was that tiring to do nothing, like i get stoned from wasting my brain away. hahah, all's good i guess!

first pictures featuring my housemates!! from left: my roomie Shane aka the mama of the hse. next, charlene then wilfred and haojie, the 3 smokers and drinkers in the house. things are really great at home. the guys cook! 3 meals so far already and i mop! haha cos i don like to wash plates.

this was when we were furbishing our house with the necessities. felt weird to buy bedsheet, quilt and all. felt so adult all of a sudden.

A literary day II

one reason why im typing everything without pictures is cos its my first day at work! and my senior left me at 3 so i had 2.5 hours to kill. inspired by players (guys and girls alike) i wrote a poem! ahah, don't laugh k, im seriously bored to tears AND i had 4 hours of sleep. if i don't use my brain, i'll konk out on my table. so here goes:

A literary day

my two hearts

i've known them all my life, i've had them all these years. but now that we're not near, they seem so very dear.

yes, im rhyming (if u haven't noticed) and if u haven't already guessed, im referring to my sisters! ZHUO PEIYI and ZHUO PEIFEN. my first china post is dedicated to you 2! one big ol' emotional one who can't stop tearing and makes my heartache. The other supposedly cool one who did a huge post about me [i think i saw u emotional at the airport! :) ] and who's about to embark on a journey of her own.

i do miss you guys and don't make me want to come home even more! although it won't be home since fen's not there. may all 3 of us be strong in the coming months. Farewells

A previous outing with the veggies continued with mahjong the night after. Night of laughs and hilariously embarassing antics. Wanhua: Im 21, female majoring in finance eh? The songs, weird man at breakfast. Truly in veggie style!
