Love, life and us.

since hearing ms SALLY LEE's engagement (congratulations again!) i've been wondering about this funny thing called love (or maybe it was the SATC dvd? )

See, from the young age of 13,
which is when we first crossed paths, our journey of exploring boys, girls and love began. Carvings on arms, writing letters, receiving expensive presents, breaking up through smses, little ways of learning about what goes on in a relationship. yes everyone was childish and having fun and we're not always proud of our pasts.

And as we grew up, things hadn't change,
but we started drifting, countless breakups, counselling, getting back together, breaking up, counselling. some got caught up with their other halfs, others with new lifestyles. we all made new friends and went on our ways...

but everytime something were to go wrong in our relationships,
which is when we return, like a bird to a nest, someone would always turn around and find a listening ear in another. counselling, advice, consoling, crying, moving on, we've seen it so many times.

and as we reach our 10 year mark of friendship
, rekindling these bonds once again, growing into adulthood and becoming women, i realised that friends actually serve a very specific purpose. We do not just entertain, bitch, and laugh together. we are a harbour that when we go out into that crazy world called love and have our hearts readily broken, we have somewhere to come back to. somewhere where no one judges, any small excuses or crazy behaviour is acepted, and the boyfriend is always wrong. At a time where crying becomes normal and your heart feels like its being ripped out (or so i heard), thats when you know friends like these count. Ambition, past-times and entertainment can be done by anyone, colleagues, siblings or acquintances.

So as one of our own has paved her way to her happiness, and see her love blossom, we all shower our blessings and well wishings. For the rest of us, the journey towards finding love might take a while, whether it is finding the fit between a couple, realizing that he's no longer the one, learning what you really need is something else, or just simply waiting for the right one to find his way to you, be patient and know that it'll come one day. meanwhile, there's always
S CLUB here for you.

Cheers to Sally Lee and i'm waiting for the crazy hen party swan!

p.s. i know i sound like im 80 and i doubt anyone will actually read this whole post. haha don't mind the naggy one..
